About Old School

A jersey built to be kept.

Old School is an officially licensed apparel brand, founded in South Africa in 2019. We produce heritage supporter kit for clubs and national teams, and deliver it to customers in 198 countries.

We set out to make a jersey worth keeping. Heavier cotton. A collar that holds its shape. An embroidered badge in place of a printed one. Those standards were set in 2019 and they have not moved since.

Established 2019

From a single jersey to 198 countries.

This is how the business came about.

How it started.
2019

How it started.

Old School began when two brothers set out to recreate a Springbok jersey from another era. Unable to find one that felt right, they made their own.

2020

Built on word of mouth.

For the first year, every order was packed and posted by hand. The range grew through word of mouth, and that same spirit still brings people to us today.

Beyond rugby.

We now hold official licences with Liverpool, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, alongside the Springboks, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

Our process

How it's done.

Every design starts in the archives, studying the original garment down to its fabric, collar and badge. Each licensed piece is then approved by the club before production.

Four things we will never compromise on.

None of these details are complicated. They are simply part of what made the originals special, and why we believe they are worth preserving.

The Details

From fabric weight to stitching, every detail matters.

The Originals

We stay true to the garments that inspired us.

The Craft

Made properly, with quality that lasts.

The Story

Every piece should feel like it has history.

Officially licensed

We produce only what we are licensed to produce.

Each club garment is manufactured under formal licence, with the crest, the colours and the detailing approved by the club.

Ordering internationally

Clear terms, wherever you are.

The questions we are asked most often by first time customers.

No. Duties and taxes are calculated and settled at checkout, so there is nothing further to pay on delivery.

Two to seven working days to most destinations, with tracking provided from the moment the order is dispatched.

Returns are accepted within thirty days. Send the item back unworn and we will exchange it or issue a refund.

Yes. Every club garment is produced under formal licence. Where a design is our own tribute rather than a licensed product, this is stated on the product page.
